Today, she would be going and training with the great Pixiemon. She had been summoned for some strange reason; her digi-egg had gone to the wrong place is what the summon said.
Foxinmon was a little surprised by the summon. It only summoned her, and not her twin Kimon. They were both hatched from the same digi-egg, so it would make more sense that both of them be summomed. But no, just her, a newly digivolved Foxinmon, was summomed. Kimon would stay behind, and Foxinmon knew it was better that way. Kimon was much too kind and gentle to venture out into the digital world. Besides, she was special. She was the Guardian of Water. She wore a small vial around her neck filled with water teeming with her energy. That Mystic Water could cure anything or let you digivolve to your greatest power.
Of course, Kimon was told never to use it unless in times of great danger because her life energy was in it. Foxinmon had tried several times to get Kimon to allow to use some of it to help her digivolve, but Kimon refused.
Foxinmon ran and kicked off, her tails whirling, and she started to glide at a low level. Kimon had warned her about high level digimon lurking outside the village, but Foxinmon wasn't too worried. After all, she was a rookie now; nothing could hurt her.
The wind rushed past her hair as she flew, smiling, oblivious to everything. She even closed her eyes, enjoying the rush.
Suddenly, something hit her hard in the side, causing her to land roughly in the field. She slowly stood in pain and looked around. Loud laughing started behind her, and she quickly turned around. Standing there was an Arukenimon. She laughed and shot another poisonous needle at Foxinmon.
Foxinmon screamed and tried to shield herself, but it was too late. She took the hit and lay on the ground, paralyzed and poisoned.
Arukenimon laughed as she looked over Foxinmon. "My master will be most pleased for destroying you quickly! You'll never meet your digi-destined now," she hissed bring up one of her legs, positioning it to stab Foxinmon.
Foxinmon closed her eyes, tears going down her face. Now she would never know why she was summoned. Suddenly, Arukenimon shrieked and fell back a few steps. Foxinmon forced open her eyes and stared.
Kimon was standing there, her dark blue fur almost violet in the sun.
"You'll pay for that!" Arukenimon vowed charging towards Kimon. "Mystic Waters!" Kimon yelled sending a high speed water blast towards Arukenimon. Arukenimon screeched and fell back.
Kimon ran towards Foxinmon, the vial usually worn around her neck glowing and in her hands. "Drink this, quickly!" Kimon exclaimed putting the vial to Foxinmon's mouth.
Foxinmon drank quickly, her body beginning to move again. Kimon smiled weakly as Foxinmon sat up and hugged her.
"Thank you, Kimon! If you hadn't come, I'd be dead. How did you know?" Foxinmon asked happily.
"I just had a feeling...I knew it wasn't safe for you to travel alone..." Kimon answered weakly, putting the vial around her neck again.
"Oh no, you're weak now!" Foxinmon exclaimed distressed. "I'll be fine; the village is right over there," Kimon stated smiling. Foxinmon simply nodded, and the two started walking towards the village.
When they were in sight of the village, Kimon cried out in pain. Foxinmon turned around and watched horrified as Kimon fell, poison needles in her back. Foxinmon stared wide-eyed as the barely alive Arukenimon who had apparently followed them back.
"That'll teach...you..." Arukenimon whispered.
Foxinmon snapped. She called forth a large fireball and threw it towards Arukenimon, tears streaming down her face. Arukenimon screamed as she was incinerated by the flames. Foxinmon ran to Kimon and kneeled down. Kimon smiled and took off her vial of mystic water and handed it to Foxinmon.
"Yes, drink it! It will save you!" Foxinmon exclaimed quickly holding the vial to her sister.
Kimon shook her head. "It will not work. I am sorry... I will not be able to be with you... keep this water safe for me...all right?" Kimon whispered.
"No, no! You can't die! Kimon!" Foxinmon screamed. Kimon smiled and closed her eyes, her data slowly drifting to the sky.
"KIMON!" Foxinmon screamed, tears running down her eyes.
Foxinmon awoke in a cold sweat beside Becca. All around her the other digi-destined lay sleeping. Foxinmon quickly opened her bag and pulled out the small collar that Kimon wore with her vial of mystic water.
Clutching it to her, Foxinmon wept.

Chapter 1
“Foxinmon, where are we?” I asked looked over a high cliff.
“I’d say we’re lost,” Foxinmon stated also looking over.
I glared at her and growled, “I gathered that much. Do you know where we are?”
“If I knew that, we wouldn’t be lost,” Foxinmon stated indignantly.
“Smartbutt…” I muttered.
“Caption Obvious,” Foxinmon muttered quietly.
We both glared at each other before I just sighed. “We’re not going to get anywhere fighting…”
Foxinmon sighed and finally nodded. She kicked off, twirling her tails and flew beside me. “What’s the plan?” she asked fluttering in front of me.
“Let’s back track while I try to remember where we got separated from the group,” I offered heading back the other way.
Foxinmon nodded and answered as she followed, “Lead the way.” “Let’s see…” I whispered trying to remember where we had been before getting split up.
“All right, everyone, let’s get going!” Tai announced making everyone look up.
“Where are we going?” I asked as Izzy continued to upload things from his computer to mine.
Tai stood there for a moment trying to think of an answer.
“We can’t find any more food around here. We need to try and find a place with a better supplies,” Tai finally answered.
I sighed and started packing up along with everyone else.
“Rebecca, remind me later to finish uploading those programs to your computer,” Izzy stated also packing u his laptop.
I smiled, enjoying the special attention from Izzy. The longer I was with him, the more I started to smile. I nodded, showing that I understood. Foxinmoin gave a devil’s grin, but quickly hid it so I wouldn’t hit her.
Finally, when everyone was ready, we started to trudge along in the hot sun. Foxinmon sat on my shoulders, the heat too much for her to fly. The extra weight made me dizzy, and I found myself blinking and shaking my head often.
Then, I saw it… in the distance lay a beautiful oasis. Figuring everyone had seen it, I ran towards it a full speed…
“Oh crap…” I whispered.
“What?” Foxinmon asked looking down at me.
I stopped dead in my tracks with a horrified expression. “I ran towards that stupid mirage! Not only are we lost, but, in order to find the others we’ll probably have to go through that darn desert!”
Foxinmon’s ears drooped. “Aw man… good going, Becca!”
“It’s not my fault!” I exclaimed angrily.
“If you hadn’t run towards your “oasis-” Foxinmon started raising her voice.
“If you would actually fly on your own-” I started raising mine as well.
“Well…isn’t this entertaining?” Puckmon whispered from near-by bushes. Not only had he been lucky enough to find a digi-destined and her digimon, but they were a pair who bickered constantly. “This’ll be too easy…” he whispered taking out his blow flute. Laughing, he aimed it towards the two.
“Oh, you can’t pit the blame on me! I was delirious from carrying you!” I yelled.
“Well, you know what-” Foxinmon started and then stopped and pushed me down.
“Foxinmon! What is up with you?” I asked angrily.
“Duck!” Foxinmon screamed and pushed me down again.
“What is it?” I asked annoyed.
“Look!” Foxinmon stated pointing towards a near-by tree. Inside its trunk were two tiny arrows that started to melt as if they were acid. We both took a step back and stared.
“That could’ve been me…” I whispered amazed.
Foxinmon nodded slowly. “It seems we’re being attacked…” she whispered.
“No, really?” I asked as another arrow whirled past my ear.
“Where are they coming from?!” Foxinmon exclaimed, looking everywhere.
A laugh echoed through the area. “I’m here. Now I’m there. I’m everywhere!” the voice chimed mockingly.
“Show your face coward!” I yelled angrily.
“Coward? Tsk, tsk…what an ugly word,” the little satyr digimon stated walking forward.
“The last thing I am is a coward. I am Puckmon, and I will destroy you,” he stated smiling evily.
“Just try it! Lightning Strike!” Foxinmon yelled, sending her blue bolt towards him.
The bolt hit, but did no damage. Puckmon started laughing. “Is that the best you can do?”
“Foxinmon, digivolve!” I yelled.
“I was just about to do that! Foxinmon digivolve to…Faeriemon!”
“Oh, please, do you honestly think I’m scared of that?” Puckmon mocked. “Acid Arrow!” he yelled, pulling acting as though pulling back a bow. A dripping arrow materialized and flew towards Faeriemon. She put up her arms as if to reflect it, causing her sleeves to melt away.
“No weak Champion can beat me,” he whispered, pulling back his hand for another arrow, aiming it towards me.
Faeriemon flew over, standing in front of me. She took out her flute and started playing a slow melody. Puckmon raised his eyebrow and put back his hand. He took out a simple pipe with 4 pieces of bamboo and started playing as well. The two melodies conflicted creating terrible dissonance. I screamed and fell to my knees, covering my ears, trying to drown out the sound. Faeriemon immediately stopped playing, and Puckmon slowly followed.
“As you can see, you’re not the only one who can play a tune. Face it, you can’t beat me. Just let me kill the girl and then you can go,” Puckmon stated smiling evilly.
“Never,” Faeriemon whispered dangerously.
“As you wish,” Puckmon stated pulling his hand back again.
“Faeriemon…digivolve…” I whispered.
“Heh, I was just about to. Pushy pushy,” she whispered smiling. “Faeriemon digivolve to…Angelmon!”
Puckmon withdrew his hand again and stared. He then started to laugh hysterically. “Well, maybe this will be a fair fight now…maybe. C’mon, Angelmon, show me what you have,” Puckmon whispered, his eyes gleaming.
“Eternal Light!” Angelmon screamed, engulfing Puckmon in the bright light. After a moment it faded, and he stood on one knee.
“It seems the angel has more power than I thought…time for plan B…” Puckmon whispered softly.
“Heaven’s Judgement!” Angelmon yelled, sending the white dragon towards Puckmon.
Puckmon quickly took out his pipe and started playing quickly. The dragon stopped right in front of him and hovered for a minute. Angelmon and I was watched mystified. The dragon’s eyes glowed red and turned towards Angelmon. Letting out a shriek it flew full speed into her and spun around her faster and faster. Angelmon screamed as the attack finished, leaving her wings and clothing torn.
Puckmon laughed putting his flute away. “It’s a good thing that didn’t hit me; it looked like it would’ve hurt.”
Angelmon slowly stood and turned towards me. She smiled slightly, a strange look in her eyes. “Rebecca…thank you for the time we’ve had together. I’ll never forget it,” she whispered.
I look at her mystified, a fear growing in my heart. She turned towards Puckmon and bowed her head. Puckmon looked at her confused as a sword materialized in her hand. Puckmon’s eyes widened in fear as Angelmon held the sword up.
“Heaven’s Judgement!” she yelled.
“That won’t work!” Puckmon yelled afraid, taking out his pipe.
As the dragon raced forward, Angelmon followed, sword in hand. Just as Puckmon was to start playing, she cut his pipe in half. He yelled as the dragon started circling faster and faster. Angelmon entered the circle, her sword glowing. After a few minutes, the attack stopped and Puckmon lay on the ground, disintegrating. Angelmon’s sword disintegrated with him, and she immediately de-digivolved to Foxinmon.
Puckmon laughed as the last part of him disintegrated. “You may have defeated me,…but in the process… you destroyed yourself.”
I felt a cold feeling in my stomach as my heart started to beat faster. Foxinmon slowly walked over, tears in her eyes. She finally stopped in front of me, smiling slightly but also looking lighter.
“I’m sorry, Becca… I won’t be able to be with you anymore…” she whispered, her feet starting to disappear and become data.
My eyes widened as tears started to fall. I slowly extended my arms, taking the fading Foxinmon in my hands. I held her there in shock as the tips of her tails started to become data and disappear as well.
“No… Foxinmon…wait…” I whispered, the taste of bile biting in my mouth.
Foxinmon smiled slightly, her own tears falling. “Keep that joy you have Becca. And tell Izzy how you feel. I’ll always watch over you,” she stated smiling.
“NO! Foxinmon! Just-just hold on! I’ll-we can save you!” I screamed.
Foxinmon only smiled and whispered, “I love you, Becca.”
“F-Foxinmon…I…I love you, too… don’t leave me!” I exclaimed, hugging only her faded hair and disappearing ears to me.
“Good-bye, Becca…” she whispered softly.
“FOXINMON!” I screamed as the last bit of her disappeared, becoming data in the sky. I fell to my knees, sobbing and screaming.
“It’s not fair! It’s not fair!” I screamed, pounding the ground. “Why?! Why?! Wasn’t it bad enough that I lost Erika! Why did I have to lose Foxinmon, too?!” I screamed to the sky. I bowed my head and continued sobbing.
Suddenly, I felt a warm glow and looked up. A small flower had materialized and bloomed into a orange egg with green triangles. I started at it, unsure what to do.
Slowly, the egg started to move and the flower slowly fell, laying the egg softly on the ground. The egg continued to shake more and more. I stared, unsure what was going on, not daring to believe anything. The egg started shaking violently, rocking side to side. Finally, it cracked open and two digimon popped out.
The first one looked up and smiled at me. “Hey Becca! It’s me! I’m demicubmon, Foxinmon’s baby form!” she exclaimed happily in a high pitched voice. I only stared at the second head whose eyes were closed. It slowly opened its eyes, and I picked it up slowly.
“Who is this?” I dared to whisper, wondering if I was simply hallucinating from the shock of losing Foxinmon.
“Deminekomon, my sister!” Demicubmon stated laughing and bouncing around. Deminekomon started to glow, so I slowly set her down. Demicubmon started glowing as well. They both became engulfed of balls of blue for Deminekomon and green for Demicubmon.
“Demicubmon digivolve to…Foxinmon!”
“Deminekomon digivolve to…Kimon!”
“Kimon?” I whispered.
Foxinmon jumped in joy, hugging the little dark blue digimon. Kimon laughed, hugging her back.
“You’re back! You’re really back!” Foxinmon exclaimed happily.
“I never stopped watching you, Foxinmon…waiting for this day.” Kimon whispered, her voice gentle as a brook, flowing smoothly like a river.
“Oh, look! I kept this for you!” Foxinmon exclaimed reaching into her bag and pulling out a blue collar with a mysterious blue liquid.
“My Mystic Water! You kept it safe for me!” Kimon exclaimed happily, putting the collar around her neck happily.
“Of course, I kept it safe! As your sister, I had to take on that responsibility of the Guardian of Water,” Foxinmon stated sounding very official.
“Thank you, Foxinmon!” Kimon exclaiming, hugging her sister.
I watched all of this, tears stinging my eyes. “F-Foxinmon…are…are you really alive?” I whispered, barely outstretching my hand.
Foxinmon turned toward me, tears falling from her eyes. She nodded smiling. “Yeah…I am… We’re not done yet. We have still have work to do. I told ya I’d stay with you.”
I started sobbing and grabbed Foxinmon in a tight hug. She started crying as well as we hugged.
I smiled looking at Foxinmon. “You stupid drama queen! You had me thinking you were really gone!” I exclaimed.
Foxinmon puffed up and flipped back one of her ears. “Well! I thought I was gone!”
“You should’ve known better,” I laughed, putting my hands on my hips.
Foxinmon laughed as we hugged again. Kimon watched nervously, looking down at her feet. Foxinmon then looked and smiled, standing between us.
“Becca, this is Kimon. Kimon, this is Becca, my digi-destined. This is what Pixiemon summoned me for. Becca’s great, Kimon! I’m sure she’ll let you stay with us and travel with us!”
“Of course I will!” I said smiling, extending my hand.
“I’m not quite sure how this whole digi-destined thing will work with two digimon, but there’s no way I wouldn’t let you stay with us. You’re part of our family now.”
Kimon smiled, a blush coming to her white cheeks. She nodded and took my hand, Foxinmon cheering. “This is awesome! Wait until the others-“ she started and then ears fell.
I sighed as well. “We have to find the other…” I stated sadly. Foxinmon and I both looked down, dreading that desert.
“What’s the matter?” Kimon asked looking worried.
Foxinmon explained to her how we got into the mess we were in, and Kimon smiled. “It’ll be fine. I’m sure if we follow this river, it’ll take us to the other end of the desert. After all, it goes in the direction you think you came from, and you won’t have to bear the heat.”
Foxinmon and I both blinked before cheering. “Woohoo! Thank goodness for you, Kimon!” I exclaimed hugging her. Kimon blushed deeper as Foxinmon kicked off, twirling her two tails together.
“Let’s go!” she exclaimed hovering in front of us. I laughed, getting up and extending my hand towards Kimon.
“Let’s go and meet the others,” I said smiling. Kimon looked at my hand a moment before taking it smiling. Together, all three of walked toward the others where new adventures waited.
